Personal Coaching is sometimes known as Life Coaching. We don’t
use this term because we cannot coach a persons’ life. We coach
people to change and create the life they have always wanted.
Coaching is not Training, Consulting or Mentoring (although these employ
many techniques that Coaching does) as these are all about imparting technical
expertise based on the experience of the trainer, consultant or mentor.
These are very prescriptive functions and involve a method of ‘teaching’
or ‘telling’.
Coaching is not Counselling or Therapy as these functions are problem
orientated which coaching is not. Both Counselling and Therapy investigate
root problems and then endeavour to address these problems. They look
into your past identifying influences that are responsible for you life
today. Coaching is only concerned with tomorrow.
There is no fixed time, but typically each session lasts between thirty
and forty-five minutes, but sometimes up to one hour. More than forty-five
minutes can sometimes be counter-productive due to waning concentration
levels by both parties. And the amount of information imparted in very
long sessions could be overwhelming to the client.
We deliver coaching during weekends and weekday evenings outside normal
business hours. This has proved to be very convenient to our coachees;
it offers flexibility in the location and level of privacy they require.
It also has an advantage for the Business Coaching clients as it does
not interfere with the working day. No additional resource is required
to make up for lost man hours due to coaching. This gives your employees
access to a performance enhancing service while still maintaining business
as usual.
Normally the frequency of coaching sessions is one a week or one a fortnight.
This depends largely on the amount of commitment and input the client
is willing to give to the coaching process. The coachee can ‘cool
off’ if more than a fortnight elapses between sessions.
This is just to note things down so you don’t forget anything
important. There is very little writing to be done. Any supporting documentation
you may need will be sent to you, but may not even be used during a coaching
session.
The duration of the coaching relationship differs for each individual
and for the complexity of the goals the client wishes to achieve. But
in general, most coaching relationships span between one and six months,
sometimes more. But the average is approximately three months.
Duration is also affected by the frequency of coaching sessions and
the commitment of the coachee. But there is usually a point at which the
coaching relationship ends naturally, usually when the goals have been
attained. Through experience, the coach can often identify this point
before the client.

High Impact Programs carry fixed prices no matter
how many sessions are required, how many e-mails are sent or how long
it takes. So the price you are quoted is the price you pay. That’s
it.
The cost of H.I. Programs varies from one to another and is determined
by the level of challenge each goal presents, but typically starts at
£300. Please contact us to discuss pricing.
